Content and structure of the minor

AVP Minor seeks to inspire and provide students with insight and experience needed to build bold new ventures either as new independent startup companies or within existing companies. In AVP you’ll learn by doing together with people from various backgrounds and nationalities. This will teach you practical ‘street smarts’ for starting new ventures, which is one of the best ways to making an impact in real life.

AVP (http://avp.aalto.fi) includes inspirational courses, a variety of more focused courses to learn specific skills and knowledge in different areas of importance in venturing, and integrative, team project-based courses to support experiential learning. For IEM students AVP is not available as Minor, but it can be used as a special module (C) or as elective studies (W). Please note: Together with the basic module (B1) in IEM (20 cr) or equivalent knowledge, AVP forms a minor subject in the MSc. (Tech.) degree.

TU691-2 Intermediate module in Aalto Ventures Program B2 (20cr)

Select one course from each of the three groups (group 1: Inspiration & Introduction, group 2: Knowledge & Skills, group 3: Integrative Project Experience), and add as many courses from group 2 as is needed to fulfill the minimum credit unit requirement. Courses generally have Aalto status to make them broadly accessible for students from different schools within Aalto University. However, please note that individual courses may have size limits and separate application procedures.
